- Follow the signs for Barnsley from the motorway roundabout.
- Move into the left-hand lane and take a left turn at the traffic lights. (Signposted Huddersfield A635)
- Take the third left, which is situated on a sharp right-hand bend, onto Farmhouse Lane. This leads onto Wharfedale Road.
- Carry on down Wharfedale Road to a T-junction.
- Turn left and after about 100 metres you will see Barnsley Hospice on the right, opposite the Church.
- Take the road past the front of the Hospital towards Huddersfield, down the hill until you reach the Friendship pub on the left (½ mile)
- The Hospice is signposted along the second of two roads off to the left (Church Street).
Visitor parking is to the left on entering the car park.
Barnsley is well connected to the national rail network, with regular services to and from Sheffield and Leeds for intercity connections.
The Hospice is served by a frequent Bus service operating from Barnsley Interchange.
